As you know, I love monochromatic cards with a pop, Night of Navy & Whisper White, Basic Black & Whisper White or even a Basic Gray and Whisper White. Then you choose the color “pop”; it could be Real Red, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, or any of a number of gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colors. Yesterday’s card was one of my “black & white” creations I love to do, with a touch of silver (see it here if you missed it). Today’s card gets an addition of gold, instead of the silver, to make it sparkle!
What make today’s card so fabulous is the large, prominent “Thank You” greeting stamp from the So Very Much stamps set in the Sale-A-Bration catalog! (Still time to earn this stamp set, Sale-A-Bration ends Friday!). I love the sparkle paper from the Pop of Pink DSP paper. This one has only one side, but when it’s a fabulous paper like this, who cares! You can use it for so many occasions!
I used a Whisper White card base that I dry embossed with the Seaside embossing folder. It highlights the greeting and wonderful paper so well. I stamped my thank greeting directly onto the DSP because I wanted the paper to be the focus of the card (although the greeting also stands out). I framed the gold sparkle paper with a piece of Basic Black card stock to make it stand out from the background. This time I used the gold metallic ribbon, tied in a know, from the Metallic ribbon combo from the Sale-A-Bration catalog to go along with gold sparkle paper. I popped the entire piece up with dimensionals to make it stand out even more. I love the way it turned out.
Simple card to make, but stunning effect! The So Very Much stamp set also includes several small greetings that you can add underneath the thank you, including “from all of us”, “for your kindness”, “so very much” and “for the gift”. I haven’t added one of these yet, I’ll add it when I know for what occasion I’ll use my card.
Here’s the supplies I used for my card:
