When you hear “Go Wild” I’m sure you can think of all kinds of wild cards, but you wouldn’t think tasteful sympathy card, right? Well, I’m here today to show you how that assumption would be so wrong. The wonderful thing about Stampin’ Up!’s Go Wild DSP is that one side is wild animal prints, the other side is more sedate, geometric patterns. I love using all of Stampin’ Up! DSP double-sided papers for my cards, they are so versatile!
Today’s card uses the other side of the leopard spotted design, it looks like tulips, really it does! The basic black and tip top taupe colors suggest a somber themed card and that’s why I chose to use if for my “thinking of you” card. The card base and inner layer use the Tip Top Taupe cardstock. I framed the Go Wild DSP “tulips” with a layer of Basic Black. I used the long time Thoughts & Prayers stamp set to stamp the tree and greeting with Soft Suede ink. Don’t you agree, this could be a sympathy card, a get well card, or a card for a friend or family member who is going through some tough times. Not what you would have expected when you started reading this today, right?
I was so excited to see how well this card came together with just a few supplies. And I’m using up my Go Wild DSP, which is even better! Just wish it was still available now that I’ve found all kinds of ways to use the papers in my various cards!
Here’s what I used to make this card:
