It looks like my making fall cards is paying off…we are finally got a “cool” front, along with a tropical storm, not a hurricane-YEA. For those of you up north…this means early summer weather – LOL. For us in Texas, we are looking at the 60’s for several days! Yea!! Another fall card today to hopefully continue this wonderful weather we are now having.
I used the Beautiful Autumn bundle which includes the stamp set and this great Autumn punch pack. And the wonderful thing about the punches? They match the Gilded Autumn paper leaves and acorns! So I went to town punching out the gold and copper leaves and acorns to make my wreath. I layered that on top of the Crumb Cake speckled paper to make the wreath and heat embossed greeting stand out (I used my Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder which is retired, but the Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder is still available). That entire piece is layered on top of the houndstooth patterns DSP with Copper foil paper to give the card an elegant flair. Another of those triple bows with Gold thread.
Here’s the original card I CASEd from page 44 in the new Mini catalog. I had so much fun punching out the leaves and acorns, I have lots leftover. I’ll need to find another way to use the extras.
And my card just happens to meet the TGIFC#282 challenge for this week! WOOHOO!
Here’s what I used to make my CASEd card. If you want the list of supplies for the catalog card, email me and I can send the list to you!
Last week, my hubby and I ventured out into the Texas countryside to see this real castle! Yes, it’s real and large, that door into the castle is 20′ tall!. It’s just outside of Bellville, Texas and the owner built it himself and gives tours of it. The drawbridge over the moat works! As they say “Only in Texas”!
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my card and my castle picture. If we can’t travel overseas right now to see medieval castles, we’ll see them in Texas!
