I love the You Are Amazing kit and stamp set. I’m keeping this stamp on my shelf even though it’s now retired. Creating alternatives kit cards is always fun for me. These are the suggested cards from the You Are Amazing Project kit.
I decided to use a current stamp set, Peaceful Moments, for the greetings on my alternative kit cards. Here are my cards:
First, I was cut the 16 card bases in half, giving me 32 pieces. For all but one of my cards, I cut those pieces in half. I used coordinating card stock pieces – Blushing Bride, Mango Melody, and Basic White for my cards. I also created a set of Basic White card bases for my cards.
This card uses Blushing Bride card stock. I added a 3-1/4″ x 4-5/8″ piece of Blushing Bride dry embosses with the Hammered Metal 3D folder. Seems like a strange embossing effect for a flower card, but I love the way it looks. I centered my quarter piece of the flower print on that piece, then added it to the card base with dimensionals. The greeting from Peaceful Moments was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink. I tied a triple bow from the included twine.
This next card uses one of the Pretty Peacock card base pieces glued to a Basic White card base. The strip piece is from one of the original card fronts. The Mango Melody banner is cut in half and adhered to each side of the strip. I stamped the greeting on Basic White and die cut it with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I added a bigger tag die-cut in Blushing Bride.
This card used a piece of the gorgeous foiled Bermuda Bay dots card front with a thin Basic White frame behind it to make it stand out. The matching Bermuda Bay foil tag with a Basic White banner for the greeting was put on top.
This card uses one of the full card fronts adhered to a Basic White card base. The greeting from the You Are Amazing stamp set (since I needed a birthday card) was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on a piece of Basic White. I overlaid the vellum tag (with the top cut off) over the stamped greeting. I used the circles as balloons with a Gold Foil circle and the twine pieces as balloon strings.
I adhere one of the Granny Apple Green pieces to another Basic White card base. I created the two print pieces from the card tags. The stars was a full tag piece, but the striped tag was cut in half. I added a stamped tag on top of the Mango Melody tag.
This card uses another of the Pretty Peacock pieces to a Basic White card base. I added a Blushing Bride frame under the striped tag. I stamped in the greeting tag from the kit using Granny Apple Green ink.
My last cards use the yellow flower tags. But I couldn’t stop with just one card; I had to make three different cards.
I had a lot of fun shifting pieces around until I came up with the card layouts I liked. Do you need sizes and card instructions? Email me! I’d love to help you create these blended “You Are Amazing meets Peaceful Moments” cards
