Did you make any cards for World Card Day yesterday? Have you shared them here or elsewhere? Let us know so we can see your creations! I spent the last two days creating with all my new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog goodies!
I got my second shipment on Thursday with 6 more bundles in this order (minus 2 back order pieces, the Woodland embossing folder so no cute fall cards with this one, and the Sleigh Ride edgelits). Darn, the Holiday catalog items are wildly popular and selling out way too fast! I had a lot of fun deciding which sets to begin with and what to create on Saturday, World Card Making Day.
As I was drinking my first cup of coffee Saturday morning, I saw an article in our local weekend’s newspaper highlighting ghost tours of several of Galveston’s old buildings just in time for Halloween. As I read the story, it made me think of the old fireplaces, fires, smoky rooms and ghosts floating around the room. And that’s how my design was born.
It was fun putting this one together! I started with my Festive Fireside framelits with the Festive Fireplace stamps. Last week I shared my Halloween card and said I’d only do one, but…when I got my Happy Haunting DSP, I had to create another one. I had my card all finished and as I was cleaning my “Boo” stamp from the Happy Scenes stamp set, I saw the spider web. Ah, the perfect accent to old, spooky fireplaces, a spider and it’s web! Hope you enjoy my card.
Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this card:
