Yesterday I mentioned creating alternative cards from the Key to My Heart Paper Pumpkin kit cards. I gave them to my husband to choose his card for me. Are you wondering which Key to My Heart card did I get? This is the card he chose (I thought it might be this one).
Which Key to My Heart card did I choose to give to him in return? It would have this one (we do like many, but not all, of the same things). Instead, I gave him my second choice since he truly has had the key to my heart for many years. I turned this card to make it a landscape opening with a little different fold than a usual card. The Fresh Freesia key paper is from one of the matching envelopes I cut apart.
This is how the card opens with the extra touches from leftover pieces from the kit on the inside. Of course, I’m showing you the card before I signed it. I think he really liked my selection as much as I liked his.
Some of you must be thinking how unromantic I made my own card, and why didn’t my sweet husband go shopping to pick out a card for me? Many years ago when I started making cards, I told him that I would love to have him choose any of my cards to give to me on special occasions. It’s always a fun surprise to see which ones he picks each time. I also love his thought process as he sorts through all of them to select just the right one each time. Although I don’t watch his actual selection, I know he looks at each one and reads them before selecing his choice.
I hope you enjoyed Valentine’s Day however you celebrate. Just because you don’t have a significant other doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate with friends. It’s a day to share memories.
Thanks for stopping by today. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. Just hop over to my site to shop. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
