Another day at home, another fun card kit by mail to make! This one, Three Cheers for You is called an “all-inclusive kit”. That means everything you need is included in this one kit. Card supplies, cutouts, stamps, ink spot, linen thread, sparkly sequins, and adhesive dots and dimensionals. Make three each of 4 card designs. Plus a darling gift box to hold all of them, that is, if you can bear to give them all away in one fell swoop – LOL! But it does make an incredible gift for someone special. That just means you’ll need two kits, one for you, one to give away!
I took a picture of all the things in this kit…of course, mine is much messier than Stampin’ Up!’s professional one. There are a lot of fun things included to make these 12 cars.
I made my first set of cards just like the kit instructions suggested.
Like yesterday (see here), I moved the pieces and greetings around to different card bases to create this alternative set of cards. I also “mixed” stamped the greetings. What?? To combine parts of two or more greetings use regular tape over the part of the greeting you don’t want to stamp. Then ink the stamp and VERY carefully pull off the tape and stamp the inked greeting. When I say “carefully” I mean it! If not, you will have ink from the tape all over your fingers, you, your cards, your stamping area. Believe me it’s not pretty…can you tell I’ve done it before?! On the bottom two cards I didn’t add any flowers so that I could give them to some of the guys in my life!
Next set mixes more pieces and mixed stamped greetings to create three more cards.
Finally I decided to cut one of the Night of Navy card base in half since the entire outside was Night of Navy. Then I pulled out my notecards (Whisper White Notecards and envelopes) and adhered the entire folded card onto the Night of Navy to act as a nice color frame. I used similar components, but rearranged them differently.
Here’s what they look like from the side so you get an idea of what I tried to explain above. I’ve done this a number of times, including a recent post with the Notes of Kindness card kit. This creates an entirely different look and doubles the number of cards you can make.
I got 13 cards from this kit, not 12, by cutting one of the blue cards in half and adding a package of the Note Cards & Envelopes. If you cut all 3 Night of Navy cards in half, you can get 15 cards! And with these leftover pieces from the kit, I can make a few more note size cards!
The kit is only $27 + shipping and tax. Great bargain for a day of crafting fun. But, remember Sale-a-Bration is going on through March 31. If your purchase equals $50 (before shipping and tax), you can earn a Level 1 product FREE! A great option is the “Sending you Thoughts” stamp set to further expand the greetings for this kit.
Here is all the kit and other options I’d suggest for you to earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration item. Or just order the kit and create away!
Another great idea for your creative staycation, or craftcation with the kids and yourself!
Don’t forget, Sale-a-Bration is going on until March 31 and for every $50 you spend, you earn 1 credit towards free product. Also look at these projects you can create using Sale-a-Bration items!
Thanks for stopping by today, and continue to stay safe by limiting your exposure others and washing your hands!Happy stamping!
