I love birthdays! Well, not the getting older part, but as my dad always says, it beats the alternative! I love the celebrations, the cards, the decorations…and oh, yes…the red velvet cake, my favorite! Growing up with my cousin who was just 17 days younger, we always celebrated our birthdays together with our families. And his mom, my aunt, always made me a Red Velvet cake, yum! I’ve tried lots of recipes and other people’s cakes, but they never seemed to taste like what I remember growing up.
I’m continuing my quest to create lots of birthday cards for my large family. And the new Balloon Bouquet punch is making it so easy to make lots and lots of balloons! Balloons mean birthdays & celebrations, right?!
This is such a happy card for me. I started with Delightful Dijon as the card base (this color is growing on me!) and Bermuda Bay accents. The balloons were all punched from the Cherry on Top paper pack. It has such fun, bright colors and patterns in it! The Balloon Bouquet punch has 2 different size balloons, a big one and a small one. I added the big ones on front, and not wanting to waste the little ones (and to carry on the balloon celebration theme), I added them to the inside! I just love the Party Wishes stamp set with it’s great birthday greetings!
Here’s the supplies you’ll need to make this card:
QUOTE FOR THE DAY:
Cakes are special. Every birthday, every celebration ends with something sweet, a cake, and people remember. It’s all about the memories. Buddy Valastro
