I’m still playing with some of the annual catalog’s Designer Series papers in addition to making Thanksgiving and Christmas cards. I wanted to share these two fun-fold cards made with the Fresh as a Daisy DSP. One uses the DSP as the card base, and the one uses multiple pieces blended together. Take a look at the “patchwork” sheet I used for the first card.
“Z” Fun-fold Card
This card uses the Boho Blue raindrops, the green watercolor and Crushed Curry striped pieces. I love blue, yellow and green color combinations, and made a fun-fold card with them. On a Garden Green card base, the two green pieces overlap to fill the folded back card front piece. Cut the Crushed Curry stripe piece in half and center it on the blue raindrops. Adhere this piece to the front flap. I cut the greeting tag with the Stylish Shapes dies and stamped a greeting from Artistically Inked. The three daisies are punched from another of the patchwork pieces and added with Mini Glue dots.

Here’s a look at the card when it’s open.

Accordion fun-fold card
Next, an accordion fun-fold card using a 5-1/2″ x 12″ piece of the Fresh as a Daisy DSP below. Score it at 1-3/4″, 4-3/4″ and 7-3/4″. I got the idea from one of Connie Stewart’s Simply Simple Stamping cards. This is a great way to showcase the Fresh as a Daisy DSP. Have you ever tried an accordion fun-fold card? Think of all your DSP you can use to make a similar card! Share your fun-fold cards with me.

Here’s my final card, closed and open.

In the new Holiday mini catalog there is a set of decorative masks – Abundant Beauty (#162331). It contains 7 masks, 4 of which created the sunflowers on my above card. I’ve only used masks a few times, but decided to stretch my creativity with these new masks (btw-I love them!). Using my blending brushes, I created the smallest sunflower onto the front and inside of the card. Yes, the paper shows daisies, but the sunflower looks similar enough so I went with it. I used Lemon Lolly and Copper Clay inks and softly outlined the petals with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker. This made it look more like the daisies on the paper. I love how this card turned out, and will using the other ones on other cards.
Don’t forget to take a look at the new Holiday mini catalog! Oh the wonderful things you will see! And follow my upcoming blogs in the next weeks for ideas on how to use all the new holiday products.
Thanks for stopping by today. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. Just hop over to my site to shop. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
