This first card uses the green hounds-tooth pattern to make a card for a birthday, special occasion, baby congratulations or even a non-traditional Christmas card. Add the wreath and outside greeting with dimensional for added pop.
Second, create this simple fun fold card by cutting the right hand side at 1-1/2″ to the score line. You will glue this piece to the card base. Take the pretty pink tag, and add the greeting tag and pretty coordinating butterfly. Attach the butterfly and greeting tag with dimensionals to make them pop off the card. See how easy it is to make quick cards with this Sunny Springs cards & envelopes?
I’m a procastinator so I always need a last minute birthday card. Here’s two cards I created in just minutes. The first one uses the balloons on top of a decorative tag topped with the hip hip hooray greeting.
My second birthday card is a fun-fold card. Fold this card inside out, score the front flap at 2-1/8″. Next fold the flap back to adhere it down to the front. A touch of the new Natural Tones linen thread under the tag gives it more dimension. Center the greeting tag on the front, overhanging the front fold. Cut the Happy Birthday greeting adding the Happy to the outside and the Birthday to the inside.
My last Sunny Springs card has a peek-a-boo opening so that the greeting shows when it’s closed. The surrounding green frame is from the rectangular labels from the Something for Everything ephemera pack. It’s cut to frame the square opening. The colored B&W butterflies sit over the corners to hide the gaps in the frame. Cut the Bunches of Thanks tag and add the bunches to the outside, the thanks on the inside. separately. I added a couple of Earth Tone shimmer gems to the outside flowers. And some Rainbow Adhesive-backed dots added to the inside flowers. This makes the card sparkle.
As I was finishing these cards, I realized I had one card left from the Calming Creek pack. I made aanother fun-fold coffee hugs card. The white inside the frame is actually the back of the sunset mountains from the same tag.
Which card do you like the best? Can you see yourself making any of these cards or variations that would fit what you need? Give them a try, I’m sure you’ll be happy with the results.
