Sometimes it takes me a while to find the hidden gems in the Stampin’ Up! catalogs. I’ve looked through the recent catalogs a dozen times (and probably more!) and missed these Split Card Texture dies until recently. OMG, I made some fabulous cards with just a few supplies. You will love these Split Texture dies and the versatility for your cards.
Here are the Split Card Texture dies, and you can use them in two different ways. Use them to die-cut out the design. Or you can use them for embossing your cardstock! What a great bonus.

I made this card using the “flower” design as a die cut. I fussy cut out the butterflies from the Butterfly Kisses DSP and added them with dimensionals. Just a few steps and supplies and I have a beautiful card to send to a friend.

The second card uses this same die, but as an embossing tool to my card stock. After dry embossing it, I tore the paper on the diagonal to get this look. I fussy cut (yes, I know many of you hate to do this, but trust me, it can be relaxing once you get the hang of it) the flowers from the Awash in Beauty DSP.

I’ve started making my Thanksgiving cards and decided to try this die for one of them. Very simple card, cardstock, dry embossing with the die, and stamp and ink. I used Cajun Craze and I like the subtlety of the design.

Next up, the two cards I made with the lattice die cut. I had fun with these two, both can be for Thanksgiving cards. The first one is another simple card with just a few elements.

For the second card I used the Happy Forest Friends DSP for the background, then fussy cut the bear prancing across the forest. I also die cut the tiny butterfly. I was really pleased with this card. A little more work, but so much fun! I can use it for a fun Thanksgiving card or a general card.

Now that I’ve played with it to make cards, this will be one of those dies I will keep forever! I hope I’ve piqued your interest in this die set, it really is a great one to have. I have another die set I found and LOVE, Aspen Tree dies! Don’t forget to stop by later this week to see my cards made with these dies.
Thanks for stopping by today. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. Just hop over to my site to shop. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
