It was a rainy, rainy weekend. Oh drat, that meant I just had I “had” to stay inside and spend 2 days in my craft room – LOL. Yes, it was torture – NOT, because I had lots of creative time!
I’ve had all kinds of card and box ideas that had been swirling in my mind for several weeks. Finally, with all the rain (I love the sound of rain on the windows and roof as I’m in my craft room) I got a chance to experiment on my ideas. I started with the box ideas since Halloween is this weekend! And I needed some fall treat containers for a “Just Because” for friends and co-workers over this next month. This little box looks like a milk carton, but it’s really the Baker’s Box thinly dies from Stampin’ Up! It can open at the top (by untying the ribbon) or from the bottom (so the ribbon stays so nicely tied). I wanted a container to hold sweets but also big enough to hold other surprises for some special people in October and November. Now I have to work on what I’ll put in them! Mmmm, that calls for a taste-testing event and I know I can count on my hubby to help me out on that project!
I used retired Stampin’ Up! fall paper from last year since my new paper hadn’t come in when I started this box. That’s one of the new papers from the “Into the Woods” paper in the background of the picture, isn’t it just gorgeous?!
Here’s what you’ll need to create these cute boxes.

I also got caught up on a lot of my past Make ‘n Takes so my stash is full again for when I need a card, or a pack of cards for gifts. More to come later this week!
That box is darling Janice – I’m sure your recipients will be thrilled (especially if it’s filled with treats!). Rainy day crafting is definitely the best – I’m hoping to get some of that in myself this weekend. Have a great afternoon!
