Finally, a Christmas card made from something other than the Candy Cane Lane DSP! I started this card several weeks ago when I received my Pine Bough embossing folder. But as I started my layout, I realized I wanted to add some pine cones to it. So I had to order the Pretty Pines thinlits and wait for it to get here. Well it arrived and here’s my card.
To add depth to the pine cones, I turned them upside down on my stampin’ piece mat and used my paper piercing tool to push the cutout pieces. But you can do the same thing with a ball-point pin or anything with a point on it. Then I sponged Early Espresso ink on the raised “pine seeds” to add to the realistic look. It is a really simple card and with just these few supplies, you can make quite a few very quickly!
