Stampin’ Up! is offering the Pleased as Punch DSP through March 31 (or until supplies run out) and I’m so pleased! It’s part of the coordination products release to go along with Sale-A-Bration items. This DSP coordinates with the Bloom punch in the SAB catalog. It also coordinates with the Umbrella builder and Tulip builder punch sets from the mini catalog. And with this DSP you are able to make such beautiful cards that are quick and easy!
Just look at these beautiful papers! You need them, right?!
I created a set of cards using the punches, the DSP designs in the paper and added a set of the Scalloped Note cards and envelopes from the annual catalog. The notecards’ color goes perfectly with this paper. And with their matching envelopes, ahh…so pretty! Here’s a look at the set of cards I made.
There’s a commercial for a local Houston company that says “I love these guys [insert – “cards”]!” That sums up my feeling for these cards! The easiest and quickest of these cards was the heart card. I punch three hearts, stamped the greeting from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I die cut it using the Stitched Rectangle dies. This is a go to for many occasions, you can just vary the sentiment to match what you need! Takes less than 10 minutes to put this one together (after you decide on your greeting!).
The tulip card was also quick to make a card for a dear friend or family member. It would also make a wonderful Easter card by just changing the sentiment. This sentiment came from the Timeless Tulips stamp set which includes an Easter and Mother’s Day greeting.
I made another card using the Umbrella builder punch from the DSP (see my earlier card here). This time I added flowers and rain boots to the card. I set the Stitched Shape oval at an angle as well as the greeting from the Under my Umbrella stamp set for a quirky card layout. The raindrop DSP is the backside of the umbrellas – make for fun card.
My final card used the Sale-a-Bration Bloom punch to punch out the flowers from the DSP. I also used the Vase builder punch to create the vase for this. I dry embossed the vase with the Subtle embossing folder for added texture. I layered a piece of the Subtle DSP on the card base, then added the Whisper White piece which was embossed with the Tufted 3-D embossing folder. The underneath flowers were adhered flat to the card, while the top ones were popped up with dimensionals to create the card. The greeting comes from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and is set on top of a strip of the Flax ribbon.
Here’s side view so you can see how the flowers pop off the page.
And with the matching scalloped envelopes they make a beautiful presentation. Wondering how you can create these? Very easy…here’s what you need:
To get the Small Blossom punch (a free Sale-a-Bration item) you need to purchase at least $100 – but that’s easy to do with the above basics. And with a $150 purchase, you can add the SAB So Very Vellum paper . It would go beautifully with these cards! Don’t forget, your order must be made by March 31 to earn the SAB products. Choose what you need here, and remember for every $50 spent you earn 1 credit towards Sale-a-Bration items. Have fun shopping and creating these cards!
