My last couple of posts shared the cards I made with the angle card sketch. Today’s cards were made with a 12×12 one-sheet wonder (OSW) template that Lisa Curcio shared last year. I loved the simplicity of her template and decided to make 10 cards with the Sale-A-Bration Peaceful Prints DSP!
What I liked best about Lisa’s template was the ease of cutting the 12″x12″ DSP into the individual pieces for each card. First, cut your DSP into 4″ strips (see my cuts #1 & 2 below. Be sure to pay attention to directional prints before you start. Then cut each 4″ strip following the cutting sequence numbers I added to her template.
I decided to use the red plaid/red plaid with snowflakes sheet from the Peaceful Prints DSP. My card bases are Basic White, Garden Green, and Real Red to add a little bit of variety in the colors of my cards. I used the Snowman Season stamp set for my greetings and snowmen.
Here are my final cards. These three cards use the 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces. The third card has about a 1-3/8″ piece folded back onto itself to create the look of multiple prints.
These two cards were made with the 4″ x 4″ DSP pieces (#6 & #7).
This card was made with a 3-3/4″ x 4″ piece rather than the diagram’s measurements of 3-1/2″ x 4″ (card #5 on diagram). My mistake in cutting.
This card uses the 2″ x 4″ piece of DSP (#8).
This card uses a smaller 1-1/4″ x 4″ piece from my earlier cutting mistake (rather than the 1-1/2″ x 4″ #9 piece). To make it work, I cut that piece in two and layered them under the snowman piece.
These cards use 4 pieces of #10 on the template. I cut a small second piece of DSP to be able to finish them as I wanted with four 2-3/4″ x 4″ pieces.
The card above on the right is a fun fold card and opens up like this.
Okay, have I got you thoroughly confused? Ignore my exact card layouts above and follow the 12″ x 12″ template pieces! You can’t go wrong unless you miscut your DSP pieces as I did!
Here are the supplies I used to make these cards. I hope you give this great template a try for your next set of cards!
Thanks for stopping by today. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. Just hop over to my site to shop. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
