I’ve said many times how easy it is to create cards and projects using Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin kit. As I was cleaning up my craft room to get ready for my next project, I came across the Paper Pumpkin Layers of Gratitude kit from February 2015. It brought to mind many of the things I’m grateful for during this unprecedented times. This wasn’t one of my favorite kits, but I knew I could create something fun from the pieces.

This definitely called for some “thinking outside the box” ideas. First, I cut the folded banner card into 4 separate card pieces. These are the cards I created this weekend. The only thing I added were several pieces of cardstock and a few more ink colors.

On this card, I stamped the flags using Pool Party ink, and the”thanks” with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I added the felt “T” from the kit, wrapped the twine around 3 times and tied a bow. Since the cards were smaller than USPS mailing size, I added each final cards to a 3-1/2″ x 5″ piece of coordinating cardstock. The card base for this one is Calypso Coral.

This second card uses a Bermuda Bay card base. I randomly stamped the circles with Pool Party ink after stamping off once so the color wasn’t so intense. I cut the “I” from the rest of the greeting so I could add a felt letter “i” instead. I cut a piece of the felt to make the “i” and hand cut a circle for the dot and added a twine bow.

On the 3rd card I used the “bar” stamp and created a rainbow of colors – Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pineapple Punch, and So Saffron. I pulled a stamp from my In Bloom stamp set and inked the “amazing” (without the “A”) with my Basic Black marker. The final step was adding the felt “A” to the card on a Daffodil Delight card base.

The last card is stamped repeatedly with the diamond shapes using Pool Party. The “H” is from the letters and I made an “i” from the leftover pieces. Glued it the Pool Party card base and I was done.
