As I was straightening up my craft table last night before working on my March-2016 Paper Pumpkin kit alternative ideas, I found 2 more of the flower card from the February’s kit. And an idea popped into my head looking at the supplies sitting on my table. I cut the front off the card, cut that in half and created a birthday card. It just came together in just a few minutes (BTW-I love it when that happens, and let me tell you, it’s not often-LOL! Many of my creations often take several hours to come together.).
I used Old Olive as the card base, Calypso Coral for the border and then punched the small balloons from scraps of Pool Party, Old Olive and Calypso Coral using the Balloon Bouquet punch. I sponged the edges of the balloons with their matching ink colors to give the balloons some depth. The “happy Happy” was stamped with Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive Baker’s twine for the balloon strings. Done! Loving this one. I left the inside blank so that I can use it as either a birthday card, a celebration or congratulation card, depending on the saying I stamp inside.
Here’s the supplies I used, although this February Paper Pumpkin kit is not longer in stock, there are a number of others that are available. You need to be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber to order them from here. Or you can also sign up for a subscription (month by month, order here and choose me, Janice Baranowski as your demo; or a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscription here) and then order the other kits.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more luck I have!
And I do have to work hard at my creativity, but occasionally, as with this card, luck happens quickly!
I love this! I hope we can make it tonight 🙂
