I talked to our old mail carrier the other day only to find that her disabled brother, who she was taking care of, had died. I expressed my condolences but wanted to make a card for her when she stops by to pick up old, used magazines that we always pass on to her. I had my Oh So Ombre DSP from Sale-a-Bration set out and decided the Blackberry Bliss set would make a somber, but pretty card. I cut out my pieces and laid the card out like I thought I would make it and then got the “dinner call” from my dear hubby, the cook. So I closed up my craft room for the evening and figured I’d finish the card in the morning. Here’s my original the card layout I left for the next morning.

When I came up to my craft room the next morning, things had shifted on my craft table. And this is what I found. (My cats love to jump up and move things around – they came up with their own layout!)

Hmmm…I liked this one much better, so I decided to go with it. Sometimes, letting things set and percolated (or letting your cats at it), you get a better idea and design! I used the Heal Your Heart stamp set, also from Sale-a-Bration, for the outside and inside greetings. This is a great set to have for those trying moments in life. After putting it all together, here’s my final card.

The variation and depth of color with the ombré papers make it look like a 3D art piece. Now I’m just waiting for her to stop by this week after she delivers her mail on another route. I hope it gives her some solace to get this card.
Here’s what I used to make this card.
Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget Sale-a-bration where you’ll find both the Oh So Ombre DSP and the Heal Your Heart stamp set.
Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
