As we draw near to the Christmas holidays, I always need thank you cards for the gifts we receive from family and friends. I tried out several different ideas, but finally decided on the Jolly Friends stamp set to make a fun holiday thank you card.
I started out with Crumb Cake Note cards and envelope set because they make it so easy to create my cards. I created my first version using a 3″ x 2-3/8″ piece of the red cable print from the Presents & Pinecones DSP layered over a 3-1/8″ x 2-1/2″ piece Cherry Cobbler. I stamped the Moose stamped on Crumb Cake, and yes, I fussy cut him out. I stamped the darling santa cap and punched out the hat and the trim with the Jolly Hat Builder punch. I stamped the “thank you” in Emerald Envy ink using the Banners for You stamp set and die-cut it with the Bunches of Banners framelits. I added matching DSP to the envelope flap for a perfect holiday touch.
I created a second version using the Emerald Envy holly paper from the same Presents & Pinecones DSP (on sale!!) layered over Cherry Cobbler, using the Moose with his hat. But for this one, I used Cherry Cobbler ink to create the banner and sentiment. Oh and did you notice the sunglasses? It is Texas after all, winter is coming very slowly here!
After I finish this one, I decided my first version would look better layered over the Emerald Envy to make the Cherry Cobbler cable print pop. What do you think?
I had so much fun creating these and you can too! Here’s what you need to create these cute, fast and easy cards for you or even as a gift! And many of the supplies are on sale right now, while supplies last!

Thanks Renee, I had fun making these “non-traditional” cards as my TY cards. Off to make some more this weekend since I’ve used the first batch already! Thanks for stopping by!
