I follow a number of fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and their card challenges for inspiration in my paper crafting. I’m always planning on entering the various challenges, but invariably I seem to miss the deadline, or just can’t quite pull the desired look I want together. I love the Going Places paper and I’m having a lot of fun designing more masculine type of cards with this paper. I played with color combinations to go with the Mint Macaroon card base and end up with Pool Party to give a subtle pop of color under the black. I also used Lost Lagoon as the second color under the band and greeting. And since I just got my Mint Macaroon and Basic Black baker’s twine, I had to add it to band!
Here’s the supplies I used:

Gorgeous card! Those colors are fabulous and I love that text background. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Thanks Karen, I loved these colors together! I was concerned at first that the Mint Macaroon would be overpowered by the Basic Black. But I love the way it turned out.
