This year, Shannon West from Stampin’ Up! home office decided she was starting a campaign called #imbringingbirthdaysback. And now a lot of us are following along with her. Of course, you’ve probably noticed all the birthday cards I’ve been making and posting in preparation for my own #imbringingbirthdaysback (and all other card giving occasions!) campaign for family and friends! It’s been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from template and challenge posts I follow. I’m continuing to add to my stash so I can send out more handmade, hand written cards! Already gave my dad his last weekend, see it here. And sent one to my brother-in-law for his landmark 65th birthday since he had to miss the celebration at the last minute. I sent one off to my niece in yesterday’s mail (late, her birthday was March 4! But better late than never, right?!). Now I need to get my birthday list out and start planning a little better so my cards go out before the actual birthdays!
Today’s card is another masculine card. It’s simple, not fussy, but I’m really pleased how it turned out! It came together easily, which was nice because many of us struggle with “guy” cards.
The card base is Tip Top Taupe with Night of Navy and Marina Mist accents. I embossed the overlays with the Woodgrain folder for a more interesting texture and keep it non-fussy. The saying is from the Suite Sayings stamp set. This is a great stamp set with 10 stamps that cover a lot of occasions!
Here’s a list of supplies you’ll need to make the card:

When the world is so complicated , the simple gift of friendship is within all of our hands. Maria Shriver
And one way you can do that is with a homemade card!
