As I said in my post last Friday (see it here), I created this card using the FMS328 template.
This time my card doesn’t use a square, but this fun birthday hat from the Celebrate You stamp set that I forgot I had. The paper is part of the Sweet Soirée DSP which has a lot of flowers. But on the reverse side are more graphic patterns that have a range of possibilities, including this great polka dot pattern! Looks like birthday confetti doesn’t it?!
I thought the bold birthday hat was perfect for this FMS328 challenge. I used a Marina Mist card base, with Daffodil Delight under the polka dot DSP pattern. I stamped the hat with the Marina Mist ink. I added Daffodil Delight under the hat (yes, I had to fussy cut both the stamped image and the under layer) to make it standout from the card. I also use my retired Crushed Curry Baker’s twine to make a pom-pom for the hat. I popped the hat up with dimensionals. When I finished, I couldn’t leave it “bare” so I pealed off the hat and added the waves in Marina Mist, cut with the Swirly Scribbles thinlits underneath it.
Here’s what I used for the card:
Thanks once again for stopping by to see my card today. Tomorrow’s card is “loosely” based on this template, but I futzed around until I liked the final card.
Don’t forget Sale-a-bration ends March 31!
