I finished creating 21 total cards from the Watercolor Wishes card kit yesterday. The kit makes 20, but the blue & white striped card below were printed front and back on the card so I cut it in half and attach each piece to standard Whisper White card base to get 2. I did this for one (hence 21 cards) but decided not to do the others since my stash was full. Today’s share are more masculine in color and theme. It’s always so hard to think up really cool guy cards, although I’m sure the ladies would love these also.
The muted Night of Navy/Tip Top Taupe/Pool Party striped piece was the belly band for the envelopes in the kit. I couldn’t let it just sit there or go into the trash, it was so pretty. So, onto one of the cards to add a little interest. The hearts were also punched out of the left over belly band piece to get the two-tone hearts. I layered the original tag on top of Whisper White and then Night of Navy to increase the statement the tag made. On the second card, again a little too muted for me! I used the navy stripe washi tape on several of the white stripes to create more interest. The only extra I used on the last card was a punched Watermelon Wonder heart to center inside the open wooden heart embellishment. So the only extras I used to make this group of cards was a scrap piece of Whisper White, Night of Navy, and Watermelon Wonder. Did I mention I love this Watercolor Wishes card kit? You will, too.
