I loved last week’s FMS template and the card I made, so I was really excited when I saw this week’s template. I knew exactly what I wanted to use for this challenge – the new Detailed Santa thinlit die! I’ve been waiting for just the right template to create this card!
This card came together in less than 10 minutes! There are only a few steps to creating it. I used Real Red for card base and embossed with with the Softly Falling embossing folder. I cut out the detailed santa from Whisper White. I stamped the saying from the coordinating Greetings from Santa stamp set onto a real red tag (cut using the Baker’s Box circle die) using versa mark ink and heat embossed it with white stamping embossing powder. I added the whisper white scallop circle (from the Layering Circle dies) underneath to make it stand out from the card base. I really like how this looks and it will quick and easy to make a lot of these for the upcoming Christmas holidays!
Here’s the few supplies you’ll need for this card.
That layout IS perfect for the santa thinlits – what a fun festive card! Love the traditional red & white combo, it just says Christmas 🙂
Thanks Deepa! It was really fun and so easy to create this card! And yet it really makes a statement, love it when it all comes together like that. I’d love to see some of your projects you’re working on! And if you want, I’d love to share them on my site! email me if you are interested!
That is so sweet of you, thank you! I haven’t had much time to create lately but I have some projects in the works so I will shoot you an email with pictures when they get done. Have a great weekend! 🙂
This die cut works perfectly with the sketch! Pretty card! Glad you joined us at FMS!
