I’m continuing my quest to make a bunch of fall cards. Take a look at my other cards here and here. I CASed today’s card from a 2014 Stampin’ Up stamp and die set that had the “feathers.” I don’t have a picture of the original card (buried somewhere so deep in my files I couldn’t find it – LOL, does this mean I should be cleaning up and purging more?), but here’s my version using the Stitched Leaves dies.
This card uses the Mint Macaron and copper gilded DSP. You wouldn’t think Mint Macaron would work with fall cards, but it adds such an elegant touch. It’s hard to see the gilded copper part, but trust me, you need this paper!! I used the Stitched Leaves dies (again – LOL!) to cut the 5 colors out – Early Espresso, Bumblebee, Mint Macaron, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze. I used a Very Vanilla card base and cut a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of DSP to layer on top. A 4-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ Very Vanilla piece was stamped with the Beautiful Autumn stamp set greeting. I adhere my leaves down starting with the middle leaf, then the two outside ones to get them evenly placed on the card piece. I wrapped a piece of the Mint Macaron basket weave and Metallic ribbons above the greeting and covering the bottom of the leaf stems. I adhered this piece on the top of the DSP. I added a jeweled or enamel dot randomly on each leaf for some bling, every card deserves bling! Oops, did you see I knocked the “bubble” part off the Cinnamon Cider enamel dot..that’s it just above the ribbon. The bottom color piece is still on the leaf. I didn’t notice it until I posted the picture.
Here’s what I used to make this card:
