My collection of Paper Pumpkin stamp sets is ever growing and spilling over all over my craft room (just like a pumpkin vine..heh, heh…trying to practice my puns to compete with my sweet hubby!). And when I want to use a specific stamp it takes me forever to find them! So I’ve been following people as they share how they organize theirs and I’ve even tried several of them. But so far none have really worked that well for me, I still find myself searching for the one stamp I need. And then recently one of my Paper Pumpkin customer asked me how to store all her stamps and ink spots? Ack…time to plan for better storage system and create a special gift for her since she’s been such a loyal Paper Pumpkin subscriber.
As I was again considering the various ideas I’ve seen (and haven’t tried yet), I came across my “So You” project kit from the 2015 Occasions catalog. It’s a cute 4×4 album kit for Instagram photos and I thought this would make a darling miniature storage album for the Paper Pumpkin stamp sets! So rather than making cards and entering challenges (I’m hopeful to do those later this week!), I started working on my version of Paper Pumpkin inserts for the 4×4 pockets and ones for the Stampin’ Up! clear mount cases. I used the Stampin’ Up! template but edited it so that I could include a picture of the stamp sets on the front and down the spine (that was an interesting challenge!). It took me quite a while to relearn PhotoShop Elements enough to be able to create them. But finally got a clear mount case insert template I like and then adapted it to a 4×4 insert for the So You kit.
In the end, I think my efforts come closest to what Connie Stewart at SimplySimpleStamping.com shared with her followers. Here’s what my 4×4 insert looks like and I’ll let my customer decorate the small album to fit her craft room and tastes.
I just wish these little albums were still available from Stampin’ Up! They would make a cute gift for other Paper Pumpkin subscribers! I’ll post my 4×4 inserts (just in case there are others of you who have this album or a similar one) and I will post all my clear mount case inserts for the Paper Pumpkin stamp sets as I finish them. It was fun learning how to do these and I’m glad to share with others. And while I was at it, I redid all my clear and wood mount case inserts for my Stampin’ Up! markers, reinkers, dimensional, rhinestones, candy dots and my other embellishments that I store in these cases!
All in all a very productive weekend as I reorganized my craft room (again!) and cleaned out a lot of retired things! So now all I need to do is work on how to share these inserts with everyone. I will probably create another page just for these so they are easy to find. Once I figure it out and get it set up, I’ll let everyone know. All I ask is that you let everyone know that you got them from me! Thanks for stopping by again today!
