How about another October-2015 Paper Pumpkin alternative! I love seeing how many different cards or projects I can make using my Paper Pumpkin kits with just what’s in the kit or by adding a few extra supplies. This kit included 4 Crushed Curry cards so rather than just making the card with that, I cut them in half and then cut that piece into a 4″ square. I used the retired Curvy Corner trio punch to create the added detail on two corners. Doesn’t it look a part of a garden trellis? The I cut an Old Olive 3-1/2″ square, punched with the same corner punch and added it on the top. The print was circle was included in the kit, but I used my new Layered Circle dies to cut out the center. (I used the center I cut out on this card. I used the same dies to cut out a little bit smaller Daffodil Delight scalloped circle (to cover the “hole”). I added a strip of Old Olive with the greeting stamped on it and made it into a banner (there is a banner included in the kit that you can use, but I used it on this card). I placed it on a square card and embossed it with the “Brick Wall” folder. Looks like a garden wall. I added an envelope liner (I was surprised when Stampin’ Up! retired their enveloper liner framelits, I use them all the time!).
Are you wondering what I did with the inner circle I cut out of the flower print? Check back to see the other card I made using that piece! Meanwhile, here’s the supplies for this card. If you’re my current Paper Pumpkin customer, you can order the kit refills while they are in stock. But if you’re not a subscriber yet, purchase a Paper Pumpkin subscription now (select me, Janice Baranowski, as your demo), and then you can stop over and get the refill on my shop! We make the kits, so you can make the memories! Paper Pumpkin is a great way to spend some time crafting with your friends, family and even your kids every month.
