FMS450-An alternate Kit in Color paper pumpkin card

I’m finally back to crafting after spending several weeks off social distancing with family. I gathered several months of my Paper Pumpkin kits together to begin designing alternative cards from each of them. In the midst of doing that, I saw the FMS450 template and decided to make this alternative card using the May, 2020 kit pieces.

The May Paper Pumpkin wasn’t a favorite kit for me. Although I love bright colors, this kit was a little too over-the-top bright even for me. So I set out to find a way to tone down the cards and create with some alternatives!

I used the new Stampin’ Up! Misty Moonlight In-Color as my card base (looks a lot like Midnight Muse from several years ago, which I loved!). I cut the striped card front off and then cut it in half. I added it on top of a piece of Whisper White card back to make it stand out. I stamped the greeting from the Paper Pumpkin kit in Misty Moonlight ink directly onto the striped card then added dimensionals to pop it up on the card. The stars were cut from scrap pieces of Just Jade and Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Stitched Stars dies. I added the stars included in the kit, or are they flowers, to the middle of each star. For this card, I’m calling them stars! Simple, quick and a great alternate to tone down the bold, over the top, striped print.
