Yesterday I watched my weekly Ronda Wade’s “Creating Success” live FB post. She demonstrated a darling candy holder using the Delightful Daisy DSP and the Daisy Punch. I’ve had both for quite a while, and you’ve seen several of my cards recently made with the DSP (here, and here). But I haven’t used the punch yet. At the same time, this week’s FMS326 sketch popped up in my feed (yes, I tend to mult-task – LOL!). I pulled out my Daisy Punch, used Ronda’s ideas to create a “clean” card for this week’s FMS326 challenge.
I used the random Tranquil Tide dots as the starting point for my card. I punch several daisies out of Whisper White and Vellum, added one of the large Metal Rimmed Pearls in the center. I made 3 on the principal of always using an odd number of things for balance. But 3 white daisies were too many and too white for this card. I then made one with Tranquil Tide, the dotted DSP and a Vellum top. I stamped the greeting using the new Sale-a-bration Amazing You stamp set. (Still time to get one, just order $50 of Stampin’ Up! product from me here.)
I had one of the Metal Rimmed Pearls in the middle of the Tranquil Tide daisy, but instead used my stamped and punched “Let’s” greeting as the daisy center. After looking at it for a few minutes, I wondered if it would be a “cleaner” card for the FMS challenge if I only used one daisy. So I made two more versions, one with a white daisy, one with the Tranquil Tide daisy. What do you think? Being me….I liked the two daisy version best and submitted that to the FMS326 challenge.
I wanted to carry the look through to the inside so I added a strip of the dotted DSP over a piece of the Tranquil tide at the bottom. I had it all taped down and realized I needed a little something else. Out came my waxed dental floss. This was one the best tips I’ve ever found to remove taped things when you make a boo-boo! I looked through my stamp sets and realized I didn’t have the Daisy Delight stamp set (hmm…), but did have the At Home with You set which had a bucket of daisies! I stamped this in black, and reattached my border. As always, I’ll add my inside greeting when I get ready to send this card. The outside greeting is generic enough to fit a number of occasions.
Here’s what I used to make this card:

What a great trio of cards! I love how they all use the same elements but each have a little different twist. Tranquil Tide is such a pretty rich color – great choice!
