Today’s card uses the Falling in Love DSP, but this time the more graphic design side – what looks like falling flowers, or is that weed pollen? Any flower people out there who can tell me what it is? Okay, back to today’s card.
Again, a very subtle card which could be used for either female or male (depending on what you call the “flowers”?). I decided to use the darker Crumb Cake cardstock for this card to increase the contrast and standout factor. But it’s another simple card, especially since it uses the Stitched Shape and Layering Squares framelits to cut the various squares.
Here’s the directions on how I made this card:
- Soft Sky cardstock cut at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded in half
- Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 5″ x 3-3/4″
- The Falling in Love DSP graphic design cut at 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
- Crumb Cake cardstock square cut from the 3rd largest Layering Squares framelit
- Soft Sky cardstock square cut from the 2nd largest Stitched Shape Square framelit
- Very Vanilla cardstock square cut from the 3rd largest Stitched Shape Square framelit
- Crumb Cake ink to stamp the greeting from One Big Meaning stamp set (a must have with lots of ways to say thank you – see my posts the rest of this week and next to see how many different cards you can create with the stamp set!). Oh, and be sure to stamp your greeting FIRST, then cut the square. That way you are sure it’s centered and straight (just telling you from experience, it works best this way!).
- I used two retired Stampin’ Up! ribbons layered to get the detail I wanted – Pool Party ruffled ribbon and Natural Chevron ribbon (although you can’t see the chevron pattern with the Pool Party ribbon on top).
Here’s the supplies you’ll need to make this card – substitute whatever ribbon you have on hand (unless you’re like me and have a stash of the retired ribbons I used – LOL!).
As always, thanks for stopping by to see my card today. I have more thank you cards for you this week using the Falling in Love DSP and One Big Meaning stamp set. Come back to see what I’ve created for you.
