Today’s cards used the Paper Pumpkin “May good things grow” supplies that were designed for the front of the envelope, not the inside card. But it was too pretty not to be used on not just one card, but 2!
Here’s the original envelope design from the kit:
I carefully cut the envelope apart (save the rest for another card!) and cut the front design off. I cut it slightly smaller to fit on an usual 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Blackberry Bliss card base with a small frame effect. And because I thought the background was too pretty to completely cover up, I cut the large flower overlay in half and used the bottom half here. I added one of the leaves from the kit under the tag. I added the Blackberry Bliss ribbon from the kit, then tied a piece of retired twine (the Linen thread would look just as pretty) around and through the tag finishing with a bow. I used the Happy Birthday stamp from the kit stamped in Blushing Bride ink. What do you think? It was so easy, unless you count the fussy cutting of the large flower piece in half – LOL.
I used the top half of the flowers on the below card. I added a few of the Artisian Pearls in the flower centers for a little bling. I cut the Fresh Fig card from the kit in half and dry embossed it with the new Tufted textured embossing folder. I layered this on top of a piece of Mossy Meadow, then onto a Soft Suede card base. The greeting tag was cut from Mossy Meadow and a leftover piece of the Crumb Cake card from yesterday with the Layering Ovals framelits. The Old Olive ribbon is not Stampin’ Up!, but I love the look it gave to the card.
So two cards from one envelope design, how awesome is that!?! I didn’t need much to create the cards other than the Paper Pumpkin kit supplies.
