Dandy Garden DSP great for Back to Fall

October 12, 2021 Leave a Comment

Time to ease into fall here in southern Texas with temperatures occasionally dipping into the ’60s. We are always behind most of the country with experiencing fall temperatures, but finally this week we are getting a “cold” front. That means highs in the ’70s, lows in the ’60s, glorious weather in my opinion. Hopefully, our high 80s temperatures will soon disappear until next spring

I’m back to creating fall cards after several weeks of Christmas and holiday cards. I recently participated in a card swap and wanted to share those cards. Usually, I only make one swap card, but it was a small group this time, so I made 3! All of them used the retired Dandy Garden DSP. Today’s cards used the Floral Squares dies as the focal point of the card.

This first card features the Floral Squared die cut from the Calypso Coral print DSP and a Basic White flower frame. I added the Old Olive die-cut leaves and the Bumblee Bee flowers on top. Of course, the flower centers needed some bling with the Rhinestone Basic jewels. I left the saying off the front so that I could add whatever I needed later, and my fellow card swap group could also add their own needed greeting.

On the inside, I added a strip of the dandelion DSP I used on the front.

On the second card, I changed the color pallet to the deeper, Mossy Meadow leaf print DSP and the Bumblebee frame. Since the background DSP was dark, I left the flowers white. You’ll also notice that my die shifted as I was cutting it, but I loved how it looked, so I went with it! The greeting is one from the Dandy Garden Memories & More card pack. The added bling is from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic jewels.

Again on the inside, I added a strip of the matching DSP to tie it all together.

I’ve made several other cards using these Floral Square dies, see them here and here. I love these dies since they make a stunning focal point for easy cards.

Looking for bargains for your card making? Be sure to take a look at the new clearance items added on October 6, 2021! Lots of great things as much as 60%. Check it out before they are gone.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. Just hop over to my site to shop. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
