The Fresh as a Daisy DSP has been a wonderful resource for quick and easy cards. I’m switching to the full sheets of the DSP patterns to make several cards. You can see a Copper Clay and daisies card in the annual catalog on page 110.
I use this print to make my layered card; take a look at the final card.
This layered card looks daunting to make, but it’s not! Use my directions to make a similar card from any of the Fresh as a Daisy DSP sheets.
Layered card directions
- Start with a Basic White card base, a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the DSP daisies, and two Crushed Curry rectangles (3-1/8″ x 4-1/2″ and 2″ x 3-3/8″).
- Using the Deckled Rectangles dies (3rd and 6th from largest dies), center the dies on top of the DSP, and cut them out.
- Adhere the large DSP daisies piece (the one with the “holes” you just cut out) to a Basic White card base.
- Adhere each cut out DSP piece on top of the matching sized Crushed Curry piece.
- Add dimensionals to the back of each of these cut out pieces. Center them over the cut-out areas, the largest one on bottom and the smaller one on top of that one. Be sure to match the print (daisies on my card) as they are cut out.
- I stamped the Artistically Inked greeting with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a Crushed Curry tag and added it to the card.
- I added a few Glossy Dot assortment embellishments in the centers of three flowers.
- A triple White Twine bow is below the birthday tag. (See Megan Dave’s 10-second bow maker! Best $9.95 craft tool I’ve every bought!)
That’s it, you’re done. It’s easy to make layered cards using any of our beautiful designer series papers! Try it and then share your layered cards with me!
