Today’s card was also inspired by the PPA322 template challenge for this week. My first card for the challenge was made without my usual background paper or dry embossing (see it here). But you know me, I like bright, happy colors and something in the background and this is my 2nd card for the challenge.
The card base is Bermuda Bay and the papers are from the retired Retro Fresh DSP. But wait, where did that stripe come from? One of the sides had diagonal stripes with Very Vanilla in-between the bright colors. Rather than cut 4 individual stripes (to follow the template) I cut it as one piece so that the stripes were horizontal. It looks like they are individual pieces because of the Very Vanilla in-between! Just remember, when you are looking at your papers and stamp sets, think outside of the box! You’ll find so many more ways you can use them if you do! I stamped the greeting, layered it with colors using the Layering Circles framelits and added Bermuda Bay baker’s twine loops behind it.
