Today’s cards were made from my June-2016 Banner Surprise Paper Pumpkin kit (you know I’m almost always behind)! I love the cards in the kit, but didn’t think too many on my birthday list would appreciate a banner for just one day. So off I headed to Pinterest, isn’t that just the greatest invention since bread machines (LOL…a more modern twist on a very old, 1928 saying -“greatest thing since sliced bread” :). Unfortunately you can get lost in time looking at all the wonderful things people are doing, creating and posting! I have to limit my searches for very specific things. I wanted to make enhanced cards using the Tip Tip Taupe striped card bases.
First up is a birthday card I CASEd for a dear friend next week who loves the beach like I do! I found several cards using this theme, but most I couldn’t find a link to Pat McG posts from the official Paper Pumpkin page, but here’s one (And I also used its idea for a card I will post next Monday). I fell in love with this card and I know Marilyn will appreciate all the beach theme stuff! Happy birthday Marilyn (card will be late, I think, but close to your birthday!).
I used a number of things to make this card including (most retiring, so sad):
- Birthday greetings from the Paper Pumpkin kit
- Hearth & Home thinlits (retiring)
- Blossom Bunch punch (retiring)
- By The Shore DSP (retiring)
- Guy Greetings stamp set for the anchor
The next one is CASEd from another post on Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Pumpkin pinterest board. I try to link to those creation inspirations, but I now for the life of me, I can’t find it…I apologize in advance to the original card maker! Let me know if it was yours!
This one is for an anniversary coming up in my family (I know she sees my posts, so I’m not going to name names – I want it to be a semi-surprise!). I used the gold foil stickers from the kit, along with the stamped greeting and designs on the circles.
This next card goes back to my love of beach themes. I saw a similar card, but I made mine a nautical theme by using the anchor from Guy Greetings again. A little Pacific Point, a little Real Red, including the retired stitched Real Red ribbon and it was done. I added the stripe of Pacific Point card stock at the bottom because it look a little bare.
The last one in today’s set of cards was CASEd from Stamp with Jean. I made mine a simpler design.
Here’s a final shot of all four of today’s cards:
Well that’s it for this week. Kids and grandkids are coming to celebrate Easter, so that means lots of great food. I’ll need to plan some type of scavenger hunt since they are teenagers now so Easter egg hunts aren’t exactly on their list of “have to do”!
Have a wonderful Easter holiday weekend with family and friends, if you celebrate Easter. Otherwise have a great spring weekend!
