I finally made it back into my craft room this weekend after over a week of no paper crafting. How did I manage you ask? Not sure, but it felt great to have spent most of the weekend making new projects! I opened my new Watercolor Wishes card kit and it’s so pretty, pictures don’t do it justice. I laid out all the cards and started piecing them together. I made most of them as suggested in the instructions (with slight adjustments, of course, by adding a few bits and pieces to add an extra pizzazz)! My favorite is probably the “pink” set of cards. So feminine, and sweet (I know, it’s fall in most of the states, but they are so pretty).
The “Thanks” card I added an extra blue flower to make it pop and the yellow scallop trim rather than the washi tape. On the “Just a Note”, I dropped the centerpiece and placed the flowers on the left – it seemed more balanced that way to me. I sponged the butterfly with Watermelon Wonder and added small pearls on “You’re in my Thoughts” and moved everything up a little. Then I decided to it needed more hearts on the card. I inked the heart stamp, stamped off once and then onto the card so it would match the hearts already on there. All I added to the “Hello” card was another heart and moved the embellishments up slightly.
You’ll love how easy this kit is to put together! And the great part is that the Watercolor Wishes card kit comes everything you need except some type of adhesive! And I have leftover wooden butterflies and hearts to add to other cards – how cool is that?
Here’s what I used to make these cards.
