Wahoo, Designer Tee for another Happy Birthday!

February 8, 2017 2 Comments

I’m loving it! Lots of time to create my cards, lots of incredible template challenges and the SGGW weekend template is a winner, again! Lots and lots of dots…or circles…or dots and circles, just depends on your perspective and definition. Either way, I love this fun card.

If you follow me, you know my backgrounds are rarely left plain…just doesn’t happen. And this card screamed for the Large Polka Dot embossing folder which coordinates so well with the Party Animal DSP dots. As the card says, WAHOO! And I made the card in 5 minutes (of course, that was after the planning, trying various layouts and color choices – LOL). But once I got that decided, it just took a couple of minutes to cut, emboss, stamp and put the entire card together! And I got to use one of my free Sale-a-Bration stamps sets, Designer Tee, for the “happy birthday”. This stamp set is so versatile for so many occasions that you’ll want to include in on your “got to have” list. Just remember, it’s only available until March 31! Now all you have to do is follow my directions below and you’ll have a great birthday card (or several!) in just a few minutes.

My card dimensions are:

  • Whisper White card base cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, folded in half and front embossed with Large Polka Dot embossing folder
  • Emerald Envy cut with largest Stitched Shape circle
  • Watermelon Wonder cut with Layering Circles scalloped circle
  • Dots from Party Animal DSP also from Layering Circles
  • Whisper White scrap for the birthday greeting (2 different stamp sets, Birthday Blast & Designer Tee, a Sale-a-bration freebie!). I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the greetings lined up.
  • Pacific Point scrap for the banner.

What a fun card – love how you used the embossing to give the background subtle texture, but still have a lot of white space so the sentiment piece really pops.
