Simple layout creates a variety of cards

February 8, 2022 Leave a Comment

I’ve made a lot of fun cards this past month while participating in Mystery Stamps by fellow demonstrators and for my own online card events. I’ve had so much fun stamping, I forgot to post my cards! So I decided it was time to begin to post them. BTW-If you want to participate with my group, send me an email and I’ll add you to the card events.

My inspiration for today’s cards was a very simple layout I used for one of my favorite Christmas cards. I created a thank you card version to share at my catalog launch. Same layout, same Tidings of Christmas DSP, but different cutouts for a different season. A great example of how to use a card template to design a variety of cards.

I decided to use this card layout again for my January Stamp Along with my group. I sent them the supply list with measurements before we got together on Zoom. It was fun to see what DSP designs and colors everyone used for their cards. This is the initial, beginner stamper card I created to showcase a quick card using just a few supplies – paper, stamp set and ink.

But you know I couldn’t stop with just one example to show them! The next two cards were for a casual crafter with a few more supplies. This first one has a bottom layer from the fabulous Sweet Talk DSP. I also fussy cut out several of the hearts, then used dimensionals to make the pop off the card.

This second card uses the same pieces, but layering them instead of angling them creates this look. It’s a more traditional layout, but still pretty especially with some of the new Iridescent Rhinestones for sparkle.

I love this Sweet Talk suite of products so much, I keep coming back to these papers to create even more cards! I’ll post more cards later this week, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Meanwhile, here’s a look at the Sweet Talk Suite and a closeup of the fabulous DSP.

Don’t forget Sale-a-bration is still going on through February 28. If you get this entire suite, you earn a $50 SAB product!

Thanks for stopping by today. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. Just hop over to my site to shop. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
