More Bee My Valentine cards

February 9, 2024 Leave a Comment

Need more Bee My Valentine card ideas for your Valentine’s Day? At my January Sip & Stamp card night we made these cards using the Bee My Valentine suite.

This card starts with a Daffodil Delight card base and top layer. Randomly stamp the honeycomb design on the top layer. Layer two of the Designer Series Papers, and your bumble bee stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White. Stamp your greeting at the bottom and adhere the entire piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals to your card base.

This card is just as easy, with a few more layers of various DSP pieces. You can use the ones I did or choose from any of the designs in the Bee Mine Designer Series Papers. And I add a few of the adhesive-backed hearts and flowers embellishments for fun. Did you notice I used the winking eye face?

If you like fussy cutting, you’ll love this card. Start with a Sweet Sorbet card base, and an embossed white layer. This layer came from one of my favorite retired Stampin’ Up! DSP, the Fancy Frost Specialty paper from 2016. You can achieve the same effect by choosing any one of Stampin’ Up! embossing folders you like and emboss your Basic White card stock piece. Stamp your greeting on a Sweet Sorbet piece and adhere to the top layer. Next, fussy cut 3 jars of honey and a small bee. Add these pieces to the Sweet Sorbet tag with Stampin’ dimensionals. Add this top layer to the card base with your choice of adhesive.

Try making a shaker card

Start with a front panel is Sweet Sorbet with a diagonal honey pot DSP. Next, using the Nested Essential dies, cut out the center and attach that piece to the card base. Put a window sheet on the back, and add foam adhesive strips around the frame. Sprinkle sequins over the middle of the card base, line up the diagonal DSP pieces, and adhere this piece to the card. The two bees are fussy cut from one of the DSP sheets and added with adhesive.
