Understanding My Obsession With Memories & More cards

Yes, I’m willing to admit it, I’m obsessed with all of the Memories & More card packs that Stampin’ Up! has created over the last several years. It’s so much fun, and easy to create cards with them. Although they are highlighted as journaling cards for photo albums, I never quite get around to using them that way. Instead, I’ve created some amazing greeting cards with them.

Yesterday I shared some of my simpler cards made with the Dandy Garden card pack (they will retire June 30, so be sure to get some before then!). Today, I want to show you how to step them up even more, but still using the card pack cards and elements.

On this first card, I took one of the 4″ x 6″ sunflowers cards and adhered it to a regular card base of Bumblebee card stock. Before adhering it to the card base, I wrapped it with the 1/4″ Bumblebee ribbon. I used a leftover tag from another kit with the greeting sticker from the card pack. Then a few of the bumblebee stickers on dimensionals. That’s it.

For this next card I used the same card from above (each card pack has 2 of every design) and cut it up. GASP!! Yes, cut it up – LOL. I must admit it was difficult and scary to do this the first couple of times. But I’ve learned, it’s only paper and meant to be used like I want! I used one of the smaller Bumblee design and Misty Moonlight cards to create the background. Then I snipped around the sunflowers (or are they daisies? I’m not a flower growing person) and adhered it to the card. A splash of Bumblee ribbon and a tag made from one of the other cards, yes I cut up another one, on dimensionals!

This is my “over-the-top” card, although it’s not at all difficult to make. I used a piece of the Dandy Garden DSP and a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock for the background. Another of the small cards on top with a piece of Misty Moonlight and the adhesive greeting tags from the card pack. Oh, and another piece of the Bumblebee ribbon wrapped around it and tied in a bow. This card looks elaborate, but it quick and easy to make with the Dandy Garden Memories & More card pack!

Here’s what I used to make these cards:

Thanks for stopping by today. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
