Garden of daisies for spring and Easter

Yesterday I shared my Timeless Tulips Easter cards. Another spring flower my mom had in her garden was Daisies. So out came my Daisy Lane stamp set and the Daisy and Medium Daisy punches to create more spring and Easter cards (I have a lot of family around the country that I want to send cards). BTW – the retired list for the 2020-21 Annual catalog came out yesterday and I’m glad to say that both the Daisy Lane and the Timeless Tulips stamp sets and matching punches are not retiring! So time for you to get those sets and make some cards!

This is another set of quick & easy cards to make. I continued using the Basic White note cards and envelopes along with the same DSP I used in yesterday’s post. This first card I used the Daisy and Medium Daisy punches to create the daisy from the Calypso Coral DSP. I punched a small circle for the center out of the Granny Apple Green which I also used as the background layer. I added a leftover vellum piece from my February Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit. I love that there are always leftover pieces from my kits that I can use for other projects – check them out! The Easter greeting, from Timeless Tulips, is stamped in Calypso Coral ink on a scrap of Basic White. I die cut the tag with my Stitched Rectangles dies and added it with dimensionals.

For my second card, I stamped the daisies with Calypso Coral ink onto a piece of Basic White card stock. I punched them and layered them together for two daisies. My background is a piece of the Oh So Ombre Bermuda Bay paper. I added the daisies to the left and then created the two tags, both out of the “bubble” side of the Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green DSP. I stamped the greeting in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and popped the greeting tag up on dimensionals. Another quick and easy card, and in happy spring colors.

On this last card, I added a piece of the Daffodil Delight DSP on an angle to the note card. I stamped three daisies in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White piece. I also stamped a daisy on a sticky note, then fussy cut it out to use as a “mask” to stamp my stems around the flowers. I dry embossed that entire piece with the Subtle embossing folder (note – so sad this embossing folder is retiring May 3, so if you don’t have it yet, be sure to get it! It’s very versatile and adds a wonderful texture to any of your projects!). After wrapping a piece of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam binding ribbon around it and tying a bow, I added it on top with dimensionals. I stamped my greeting on another piece of the Daffodil Delight DSP. Beautiful spring colors for an Easter card.

Have you made any cards with the Daisy Lane stamp set and matching punches? Let me know in the comments below which card is your favorite. Here’s what you need to make these cards:

That’s it for today. Don’t forget to check out the retiring 2020-21 Annual Catalog product list. These items will only be available only as supplies last or through May 3.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
