More For the Love of Felt flower cards

I had a lot of fun designing my swap card using the retired For the Love of Felt kit. I still had lots of leftover pieces and card bases, so back to the creation process. I made three more cards with the other card bases. This first one I used the entire card base from the kit, but I turned it landscape to fit my layout. I die cut two layering banners in Pear Pizzaz and Basic White using the Rectangle Stitched dies. I stamped the greeting from You Are Amazing (you really need this fun stamp!) in Pear Pizzaz on the Basic White tag. I added to one of the overlays from the kit so that pre-printed arch looked like it was holding the sign up. I added the felt flowers, bringing the small blue ones in on this card, with a few of the Pear Pizzazz leaf cutouts. That’s it…done!

My second card uses the third card base with white pre-printed flowers on it. I cut it down slightly so that it would fit a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Midnight Muse cardstock with a small border. The card opens up like a regular card with the white inside so no need for an additional cardstock piece. I used the Painted Labels dies to cut the Midnight Muse center piece. I die cut the smaller tag in Basic White, stamped my greeting from my December Beary Comforting Paper Pumpkin stamp set with Lovely Lipstick ink. I added more felt flower and this time used the kit’s included leaf sprigs. Another quick and easy card.

For my third card, I used the back of the top card I cut apart and trimmed it down to fit on a layer of Pool Party piece with just a tiny edge showing. Before layering it, I wrapped some of the Linen thread included in the kit around so that it was in between the pre-printed white strips. All of that was layered on top of a Pear Pizzazz card base. I created another bundle of flowers, this time on the edge as a bouquet. I stamped the greeting from the For the Love of Felt stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Here’s all three cards I made from the kit. I still have pieces left and will make more cards, but meanwhile I’m on to other ideas!

Here’s what I used for these cards. Although the kit and stamp set are retired, there a several other really gorgeous card kits in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. Check them out here.

Let me know in the comments which card you like the best. I’m having a hard time picking a favorite from this group – I love them all!

I hope you try out this triple fold card technique with some of your DSP! Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget Sale-a-bration is going on through February 28. You can earn free stamp sets and DSP with your qualified purchases.

Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
