I’m sad that for two weeks in a row I’m posting my FMS card as a pet condolence card. I hope that this doesn’t become a common occurrence. One of my sister’s dear dog Lacy finally left this world for pet heaven. Lacy was always racing around and so excited to see me even up until almost the end. I know my sister, (who originally said she couldn’t understand how us other sisters treated their pets as family members – that is until she got Lacy), is having a difficult time with the loss. Here’s the card I made her using this week’s FMS#470 challenge.
Another quick card with just a few elements. The Playful Pets DSP is incredible. As I said last week, this one I will stock up on because I feel its the best and most versatile “pet” DSP that Stampin’ Up! has created. I used a Basic White card base and added the DSP word piece to the front. The Basic White frame (popped up with dimensionals) has a fussy cut dachshund from the Playful Pets DSP added to it. The greeting is from the Heal Your Heart Sale-a-Bration stamp set. The bottom hearts are punched from Poppy Parade cardstock and attached with rolled-up glue dots for dimension. The top hearts are from my January-2021 Paper Pumpkin kit, I just colored them red with a permanent marker. They are puffy and I love how they stand out on the card.
Inside, I used the greeting from my retired Happy Tails stamp set (a keeper in my book!). I stamped the paw prints each time without re-inking to give a fading look, ending with the Poppy Parade stamped heart. I’m sure my sister will love the card and I hope it brings her happy memories of Lacy.
Here’s what I used for this card:
Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget Sale-a-bration where you can earn free DSP and the Heal Your Heart as well as other stamp sets with your qualified purchases.
Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
